This story is told of a master of Trinity College, Cambridge in days long gone by, who hid a paitiality for figs. He held that there was one supremo moment in the exißtence of a fig when it should be oaten, not a minute before or after, and he watched over tiis tig tree with tendt-rness and devotion.
