" Sure an' Oi don't loike the colour ay it. Hey ye no grane shtamps ?*' " Njou That is the only colour in 5-cent stamps " "Sure an' I see in the newspayapers something about new colours of shtamps. " ■' They are not issued yet. madam. Will you please take yonr stamp and step aside ? (Several persons are waiting behind you." "In a minute, sorr. You are quoite sure thot ye hoy no grane shtamps. " " Quite sure, madam. That stamp will carry you letter to Ireland quite as well as a greeu one. Won't you please — " " An' when do yez think the grane shtamps will be out '!" " I can't tell. Madam, the crowd behind you is increasing, and the people are growing very impatient." " Will they be out in a yare, think ye ?" " Perhaps. It may be longer. I can't tell. But you must take your stamp and movei on." " Oi don't think Oi 'll tek it," said ahe, pushing the stamp back again. " Oi'll wait until the grane shtamps are out. Sure an' there's no hurry." Then ihe moved off, and the wants of the crowd were attended to.
