THE VENDETTA IN THE UNITED STATES.
* — The Grand Jury of New Orleans have refused to indict those alleged to be connected with the lynching of the Sicilians. In their report they state that they have discovered many efforts to bribe the jury who tried the Sicilians for the murder of Chief Detective Hennesey ; also that half of the original jury desired to convict the Sicilians. Nine of the victims of lynching were naturalised American citizsns. The grand jury further report the lynching involved the whole city, and it was therefore too difficult to 6x anyone as beiug specially guilty. The press of the United States endorses the action of the juryThe grand jury of Louisiana ignored the Italian consul's report on the personal history of the men who were lynched, and the consul intends to send it to Home. Ie is expected eerioud complications will arise in consequence of the refusal of the gr^nd jury to indict the lynchers or take notice of the report.
