The authorities have very Blight hopes; of capturing Jubraj or Senaputty, who have taken to the jungle.
The pursuing party have returned to Manipur. They were unsuccessful in their endeavour to get on the trail of the fugitives.
It has been ascertained that it was Commissioner Quinton's intention to arrest Senaputty at the Durbar, at which the assassinations took place.
Ib is probable Manipur will be formally annexed;
Jubraj and Senaputty, with 20 followers, have fled to the Upper Chindwin.
