DUNEDIN STOCK REPORT.
Following is report of business done at Burnside on Wednesday : — Fat Cattle. — 223 head were yarded for this week's requiremen ts. Best bullocks brought £6 17b 6d to £9 ; medium to good, £4 15s to £6 12a 61 ; light weights, £3 2a 61 to £A 2a 6d ; beßt cows, £5 103 to £6 ; two or three peas extra fine Herefords, to £7 5a ; medium, £3 5s to £4 7s 6d ; light weights, £1 17s 6d to£2 7s6d. Fat Sheep.— l7B6 were penned, including 250 merino wethers — medium to good useful mutton — the balance crossbred wethers and I ewes, several pens of eaoh being heavy weights and prime quality ; the rest only I medium. Best crossbred wethers brought 13s 91 to 153 6d, extra prime to 16a 61 ; medium, 12s 6d to 133 6d ; best do ewes, 12s 91 to 13i 3d ; medium, 12s to 133 6d ; merino wethers to 11s 3d, Lambs. — The season being now pretty well over for these, only 85 were penned, which met a fair demand, prices ruling ranging from 7s 6d to 10s 61. Pigs. — 216 were penned, comprising all sorts. Porkers and baconers had a fair demand, but suckers and stores were quite neglected. Suckers brought 5a Si. to 83; slips, lls to 14s ; stores, 16s to 31s ; porkers 22b to 27s 6d ; baconers, 32s to 443— a few extra heavy from 50a to 553.
