FATAL ACCIDENT
Mr David Gray, lately rabbit inspector residing ia Milton, and more recently of Titri, met with a fatal accident on the road not far from the Henley Dairy Factory on Tuesday. It appears that a saddle horse belonging to Mr Thompson got away, and as Mr Gray was mounted he went in pursuit. His horse stumbled and fell, rolling completely over him. It was at otice perceived that Mr Gray was seriously injured, and no time was lost in conveying him to the house of Mr Greenwood, the manager of the Daiiy Factory. Medical assistance was procured with all possible despatch. The doctor found tnat several ribs were broken, and gave littlo hope of recovery. Mr Gray lingered in great suffering until Wednesday afternoon, when he died. An inquest was held ou the body at the Henley Dairy Fac tory yesterday, when the jury found a verdict of accidental death. The funeral takes place to-day at 1.30 o'clock.
Mr Gray leaves a widow and we believe five of a family, and great sympathy is felt for them in their sad bereavement, whioh is all the more trying for Mrs Gray, as it was only three months' since the eldest boy met with his death as the result of an accident.
