The Victorian Cabinet has been reconstructed. The Hon D. M. Davis, Commissioner for Public Works, will take over the Mines department from the Premier, and the Hou. J. B. Paterson will administer the Public Works department in addition to the Customs. The steamer You Yanga from Adelaide to Melbourne struck a reef on Saturday night, but floated off and afterwards stranded near Cape Guatebeau, where she became a total wreck. Those on board left the steamer in three boats. That under the command of the ciptaiu reached Cape Willoughby, 40 miles distant ; while the second mate was successful iv making a landing abreast of th« wreck. The third boat in charge of the chief officer with nine men arrived safely.
Captain Smith, of H.M. schooner Medea, has bueii fined £100 for bnrning the huts of Indians at Roebuck Bay, W. Australia. The latter had a dispute with the aboriginals over land, and as they refused to leave Captain Smith gave orders for them to be burnt out.
