(From 'Sydney Mail,' May 29.) GRAIN. Wheat. — This market remains firm, the only arrivals being of New Zealand parcels, which are salable at 4s 31 fco 4* 6J per bushel ; Victorian and New South Wales are nominal. Flour. — Under this head a firmer tendency is noticeable in sympathy with the markets of other colonies. There is a steady demand ruling at the following rates : — South Australian town brands, £11 l(h to .£ll 15s ; country, £10 15j to £11 10 a ; Victorian, £11 to £11 10 a; New South Wales, £11 10j to £12 ; New Zealand, £10 to £11 ; roller fbur, £12 5a to £13. | Oats. — Additional supplies from New Zealand and Victoria during the week. Business is chiefly confined to prime samples of bright heavy feed, which are rather scarce at 2i 7d to 2s 8d per bushel. Ooher classes also are working off from 2s 4 1 per bushel. Seed, 2s 7d to 3i per bushel. Barley. — Inactive. Cape seed, 3a 3i to 3s 4 1 per bushel. Brau. — Tasmauian and Victoiiau additions to stocks received duriag the week firm at Is 5i to Is Gl per bushel. Pollard. -Salable, at Is 7-1 per lu->h«l. HORSES. Messrs Brown Brothers and Co. report. — Owine to horses being required for shipmeut to India, Kimberiey, and New Caledonia, the market has been more brisk than for some time past. We sold light saddle horses at from £15 to £25, also a number of harness and active draught geldings at from £18 to £25 per head. The demand for heavy draught stock is very limited, and it is difficult to effect sales. We quote first-class hacks at from £20 to £35 per head ; light harness horses, according to style and breeding, up to £40 ; heavy and active draught mares and geldings at from £18 to £35 per head. We report having disposed of a number of horses during the week for shipment to India and other ports.
