Melbourne, June 15. The funeral of Archbishop Goold took place to-day. The obsequies were of a most imposing character. The cathedral was crowded with spectators. Sydney, June 14. In the Legislative Assembly to-day the taxation proposals of the Government affirmed in Committee of Ways and Means, and the bills necessary to give effect to them will be introduced and dealt with in the Assembly without delay. June 15. Captain Webber, of the Ly-ee-moon, has been committed for trial on a charge of manslaughter. The third officer (Mr Fotheringhatn) was discharged from custody at the request of the Crown Prosecutor.
