HORSE MARKET.

Wright, Stephenson, aud Co., report as follows : — Last Saturday's sale brought together a large numbar of horses, including some firstclass draught mares and geldings from the Nenthorn and Gore. For these, as they were young and of superior stamp, there was keen competition and good prices were obtained for them — the mares bringing from .£26 to £32, and the geldings from £24 to £30. Medium and light draughts were not in demand, neither were light harness horses, and few horses of these kinds changed hands. For the next week or two we anticipate the demand for really firstclass draught mares and geldings will continue. We quote first-class draughts at from £24 to £30, medium, £16 to £20, light and aged, £10 to £14, first- claas hacks and light harness horses £16 to £20, medium £10 to £12, light and inferior £2 to £7 .
