ATTEMPTED WIFE-MURDER.

(Bt Telegraph), Auckland, June 17. At about ten o'clock last night Michael Lunn, residing on the North Shore, attempted to murder his wife and a man named George M'Guire by shooting them with a revolver. Mrs Lunn had left her husband and was living - with M'Guire. Last night, as she was going to see her five children, her husband fired two shots at her — one lodging in her groin, the second grazing her head. He afterwards shot twice at M'Guire, but missed him. Lunn was arrested shortly afterwards. Mrs M'Guire's wound is ; serious. Prisoner says he is sorry that he

did not kill them both. He bought the revolver since his wife left him, evidently for the purpose of shooting her.
