« London, May 20. The Australian Cricketers commenced their second match against IS players of Longsight The English team went in first and scored 118. Spofforth took nine wickets down for 26 runs. The bowliug was dead on the wickets. May 21. The match between the Australian Eleven and Eighteen of Longsight was continued today. The Australians, who, when the stumps were drawn on the previous day, had lost six wickets for 26 runs, made 214 in their first innings, Blackham scoring 81, and Bonner 74. The Longsight men, uho had made US in their first innings on the previous day, then went in, and when the stumps were drawn had scored for their second innings 72, with the loss of eight wickets. May 22. The cricket match between the Australians and IS of Longsight was concluded to-day. The latter in their second innings scored 106. The Australians then went in, and won the match by 10 wickets. Spofforth in the second innings of the Longsight team took eight wickets.
