THE BRUCE RIFLES.
LADIES' CHALLENGE SHIELD TEAM. The second competition by the Bruce Rifles for Ladies' Challenge Shield representatives took place last Wednesday morning at the butts. There were nine competitors present, and we noticed the absence of Lieut. Reid, wha thereby forfeits all chance of becoming one of the team. This is very much to be regretted, as he is undoubtedly one of the best shots in the company, and was almost certain to be a representative. The weather on Wednesday morning was very dull, with a light baffling wind from the rear, Which greatly interfered with the shootiug. The following are the highest scorers : —
