NIW ADVBttflSßMifiNtsr WAIWERA (HOT SPRINGS) THE SANATORIUM OF THE COLONIES. THE. Waiwera Hotel, is the finest and largest in New Zealand. It is situated 24 miles from Auckland, with which there is daily communication by steamer The mineral Hot Baths are noted for the cure of Gout, Rheumatism, Sciatica, and many other ailments to which human flesh is heir. For the tourist or convalescent there are fishing, shooting, &c, for the lovers of nature there is Borne of the finest acenery in the Colonies. It has now become a fashionable and favourite resort for invalids seeking health and for men of business requiring relaxation. A church is being erected, and the Government have decided to make it a Telegraph Station. In conjunction with the Waiwera, the pro prietor ha 3 at considerable expense, fitted up the Ullerslie Hotel, which is situated at the Ellerslie Railway Station, halfway between Auckland and Onehunga, with Hot and Cold Baths. A supply of the Waiwera is always kept there for bathing or drinking purposes. Every information given to tourists or visitors by Mr Brown, the Manager, and free access* to the beautiful Eiierslie Gardens. The following is one of the numerous testimonials which grateful patients have given of the merits of the Waiwera Establishment : — *' We, the undersigned, having visited the Hot Springs, Waiwera, ne*r Auckland, are unanimous in our praise of the beauty of the place, the luxury of the baths , and the health restoring benefits received, and which we have witnessed and felt, through the wonderful curative properties in the medicinal waters of the establishment have much pleasure in recommending the Waiwera Baths to the healthy seeking recreation and comfort, to the invalid for a renewal of health and happiness ; and in no other place ia our travels have we enjoyed ourselves more or felt more comfortable, in the accoinodation afforded, than at this excellent Hotel, possessing all that the most fastidious could desire. TBE Second Series consists exclusively of gema selected from Mr Raworth's studies in tne Lake districts of Otajro, especially on Lake W*katip and Lake Wauaka. The drawing will take place on Friday, 13th April. The pictures will be on view up at- the Temperance Hall, Moray place, Dunedin, daily, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., where tickets may be obtained, and the gift sketches selected. As the drawing must be held on the day intimated, as Mr Kaworths is leaving for Australia, immediate application for tickets is desired.
