The collapse of a clay pit iat Vinesvililie, Normandy, entombed two men. The resc,ilea's lowered 1 sixteen loaves, somie soup and fifty quarts of cidei-, also toba.oco, to the entombed men. Then a second collapse occurre-cl, cutting off communication.. The rescuers worked diay and night for Hi days. Tlhe shaft collapsed four times, and eventually the men were rescued.
