Yesterday a deputation, comprisiag Mr A. Munro, chairman of the Weber County Council, and Mr S. Franklin, Councillor, introduced by MtHawkins, M.JE.R., -waited "upon the Colonial Treasurer with a. request for. a portion of the loan of £6000 recently authorised by a poll of the ratepayers. After hearing the deputation, Mr Seddpn promised an instalment of £1500 at once.

The deputation brought under the notice of the Minister for Justice the of arranging for sittings of the S-M. Court at Weber, and Mr McGowan promised to have a report prepared upon the matter. .
