Farmers' Grievances.
♦ (Per Press Association.) Palmerston Is., March 20. At * meeting of the committee of the Maoawatu Agricultural and Pastoral .A sHOciatioD yesterday there was a long discussion on the blockage of stock travelling to freezing works, owing to the want of sufficient rolling stock, and a resolution was passed asking the Government to supply more waggons, as a great loss was suffered by farmers in not getting trucks, especially for lambs, even after lengtbly notice. Speaking on the subject of an experimental dairy school, Mr D. J. Nathan said he believed that the Government j did not intend to do anything in regard to the school. If the Government refused to put producers in the same position us the producers of other countries, he would suggest that the local bodies be given power to levy a tax in the same manner as for charitable aid purposes, to establish schools of instruction necessary for the peculiat requiro-
