NEW ZEALAND'S OFFER.
Weixingtoh, Sept. 29. The Government havo sunt the following telegram to the officers Commanding the districts :— ' In ' case of men beiug wanted for the Transvaal could you raise from mounted corps in your command two officers and fifty men, to be between the ages of 23 and 40, pay to be according to tbe scalo laid down in the volunteer regulations, with free rations, all men to be unmarried. They may take their own horses or the Government , will find horses. In case of their own horses being taken compensation will be allowed in the event of . a mishap occurring to them. "Volunteorg must be at least aecond-olass shots. It is proposed to distribute tbe volunteers equally among the corps if possible, and they should be prepared to join at Wellington at an early date. The officers are to take two horses each. A free kit will be supplied to each rank and file. Wire replies urgent as received from each corps.' It is probable that tbe New Zealand contingent for the Transvaal will be ' under the command of Captain Robin, ! of the Otago Hussars, who went j Home with the Jubilee contingent. I
