NO PENALTY FOR CUP
Tho winner of the To Awamutu Cup a the Waipa races next Saturday will no incur a penalty for the £5000 Aucklam Cup. The conditions for the Ellerslie rac set, out that winners will be rehand capped "provided that only winners of race or races exceeding the collectiv value of £500 to the winner shall be sul: jeet to this condition." The Te Awamutu Cup is worth £65 and a gold cup valued at £50—makin £700—but deductions from the prize£l3o for second, £50 for third and £2 for fourth—redijce the winner's share t £195, including the cup. RAKANUI PENALISED As a result of his win in the Hamilto: Handicap at Te Rapa on Saturday, Rak; nui has incurred a rehandicap of 31b fo the Auckland Cup, making his weigh 8.10.
