Release Of General Wainwright And Other Soldiers LAST REPORTED IN MUKDEN Rec. 2.30 p.m. MANILA, Aug. 15. One of General Mac Arthur's first demands from the Japanese undoubtedly will be the speedy return of Lieutenant - Genei'al Jonathan Wainwright and other Americans who were captured in the Philippines. An Army spokesman said 18 generals, 113 colonels and a number of enlisted men were with General Wainwright, who was last reported at Hcten prison camp, in the Mukden area.
