FIRST MEMBERS ELECTED
AUCKLAND MILK BOARD The result of the election of members of the new Auckland Metropolitan Milk Board was announced yesterday by the returning officer, Mr. N. R. Chapman. The following were elected as representatives of the suburban local bodies:—Combined central district, Messrs E. W. Turner (Mount Eden) and A. W. Joughin (Devonport); combined northern district, Mr. S. W. Rickards (New Lynn); combined southern district, Mr. F. W. Grey (Otahuhu). The City Council has appointed Miss E. Melville and Messrs H. P. Burton and A. S. Bailey as its representatives on the board. One of the unsuccessful candidates in the election was Mr. I. J. Goldstine, chairman since 1937 of the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council.
