FIRST PEACE PAYDAY
rROBLEM FOR EMPLOYERS Many employers have considered the possibility of difficulty in obtaining money to pay their staffs if the peace holiday falls on Thursday and Friday. The majority of employees are paid on these two days, and business firms require to withdraw substantial sums from -the banks to fill pay envelopes. • As the position regarding the holidays will remain uncertain until the official, announcement, many employers have deemed it wise to make provision either by securing cash in advance or making arrangements with their bankers.
