REPORT BY GEOLOGIST O.C. WELLINGTON, Monday. Ash-laden steam is being constantly emitted from Mount Ruapehu, interspersed with minor explosive episodes, according to a report received to-day by the director of the geological survey division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Mr. M. Ongley, from Mr. H. Fyfe, a geologist of the division, who is stationed on the mountain to observe the thermal activity. Mr. Fyfe added.that there had been normal eruptions.
