Crowds Excitedly Parade In London HOPING FOR. ANNOUNCEMENT Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 12. Peace fever continued to excite London to-night. Sellers of paper hats, balloons and rattles did brisk business with crowds in The Strand, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. The crowd grew steadily in Trafalgar Square throughout the evening, probably hoping for a loud-speaker announcement, and spread along Whitehall, where electricians were still at work placing floodlights and loudspeakers in position.
