RUSSIAN RESOLUTIONS

Stirring Up Public Interest In War On Japan MANY MEETINGS HELD Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, Aug. 9. Thousands of meetings are being held throughout Russia to stir up public interest in the war against Japan, says Reuters Moscow correspondent. Workers in arms factories, mines and offices and soldiers in Red Army barracks are passing resolutions approving the declaration of war against Japan and expressing confidence in the Red Army. These are some of the slogans: "Death to Samurai," "Red Army, death to the Japanese before they can do it again." "The Red Army has a historic mission to destroy Fascists in Asia. Do away once for all with the threat of aggression."
