There are 296 competitors in the Dominion Champion Fours tourney, which will be played in Auckland this week. Four of the six sections were played last night. Results are: —

Section 81, played in Parnell R.S.A. Hall: J. Egen, J. J. Dickey, H. Potter, F. Harlow (John Burns and Co.), 4 wins; F. E. Turner (Blockhouse Bay), 3 wins; J. Corcoran (All Golds), W. Venville (Parnell R.S.A.), J. Blackledge (Northcote R.S.A.), R. Rodger (All Golds), Mrs. Roberts (Auckland City), 2 wins; H. Simpson (Parnell R.S.A.), J. Gough (Auckland City), H. Great interest centres round the play in the last two sections, for should either of them be won by teams winning only three games, all other three winners will qualify also.
