Howard Feek, a married man, aged 39 (Mr. McLiver), who had admitted the offence of unlawful carnal knowledge when he was working as a sharemilker in an isolated district near Coromandel, appeared before Mr. Justice Cornish in the Supreme Court to-day for sentence.
Commenting that the probation officer reported favourably, his Honor admitted prisoner to 12" months' probation, on condition that he pay £5 costs.
