Dr. A. W. Wylie, formerly of Auckland and now on the staff of the Australian Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, has been awarded the Grimwade Prize for industrial chemistry for 1944. Wing-Commander J. H. Oldfield, D.F.C., officer commanding operational flying at Ohakea, has returned from Sydney by flying boat after a week's visit to Australia. Mr. R. E. Sissons, chief postmaster in Nelson, has been transferred, on promotion, to a similar position at Whangarei. ~
