PROVED A "FIASCO"
MARCH ON PARLIAMENT
O.C. WANGANUI, this day. "The march on Parliament did not cut any ice," said Mr. E. B. K. Gordon, National M.P. for Rangitikei, in speaking in Marton. "The leaders were invited in to discuss the matter while the rest were left out in the cold."
Public opinion should be expressed strongly, but from elsewhere, said Mr. Gordon. He described last Thursday's demonstration in Wellington as a fiasco which had gained no single vote for either party, but simply demonstrated mob rule and pointed to three men who were the real government, Messrs J. Roberts, A. McLagan and F. P. Walsh.
