USE OF VICTORIA PARK Consent to a portion of "Victoria Park facing Fanshawe Street being used for 20 years for transit housing ptirposes was Sought by the City Council in a letter read at the Auckland Harbour Board .meeting yesterday afternoon. It was pointed out that consent was necessary in view of the stipulation that the area was leased for a "recreational ground and no other purpose whatever." The area was stated to comprise 1 acre 3 roods 19.8 perches. I .. It was decided to refer the application to the board in-committee with power to act.
