AIR POWER ALONE
"JAPS WILL BE DEMORALISED" Rec. 11.30 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 7. Colonel Eddie Rickenbacker, American air ace in the last World War expressed the opinion that Japan could be quickly defeated by air power alone. The Japanese would be so demoralised and battered by daily rations of atomic bombs that they would cry quits. < "It is my firm belief," he added, "that this is the first war which will be won exclusively by air power.
