SUEZ CANAL COMPANY
WARTIME DIVIDEND UNLIKELY Rec. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 5. A spokesman for the Suez Canal Company said it was not likely that there would be any dividend for the war years, says the Associated Press correspondent in Paris. Increased military traffic had not compensated for the loss of mercantile traffic. The spokesman added that the company hoped to clarify affairs by next winter when reports for the years since 1939, when the last dividend was paid, would be issued.
