JURY FAILS TO AGREE
Indecent assault at Ellerslie on a boy of ten years was alleged against a farm hand, Victor Danzey. aged 48 (Mr. Aekins), who stood trial yesterday before Mr. Justice Cornish and a jury. After hearing the evidence of the Crown (Mr. G. S. R. Meredith) and a statement by accused denying the offence, the jury failed to agree and a new trial was ordered.
Included in the recent appointments of justices of the peace were those of Messrs. L. A. Cooper, \V. R. Richardson and R. Mellsop, all of Papakura.
