AUCKLAND'S "SHOW" PLACE

CIVIC WINTERGARDENS CABARET With the band of 14 talented players, augmented by Maurice Carbines at the Grand Wurlitzer and Auckland's most popular vocalist, Joan Vause, continuous music is assured at the Civic Wintergardens Cabaret. Here is the perfect setting, in which to celebrate such social events as birthdays, engagements and anniversaries. Parties of from 12 to 50 are specially catered for, and may select their own groups of tables in an atmosphere of gaiety and decorum, spacious lounge chairs and tables and unrestricted dancing space providing ample elbowroom. Make up your party for this weekend. Phone 30-100 and reserve your tables for To-night (Friday) or To-morrow (Saturday). Doors open 10 p.m., and the band is playing at 10.30.—Advt.
