WEST COAST VISIT

TWO LOTS OF 3 BROTHERS Provincial League football supremacy of the Dominion will be decided at Carlaw Park to-morrow, when West Coast meets Auckland. The visitors overwhelmed Canterbury two weeks ago by 60 points to 5, while Auckland had a runaway win against Wellington. Though a West Coast team has not been in Auckland since 1933 a big percentage of the team played for Blackball, which gave an impressive display against Manukau, the champion local cluD team two years ago. That visiting team excelled in handling the ball, which is also a feature of Auckland League football—as it should be.. Auckland this season has a'particularly good back line, and, apart from its speed, it has revealed excellent knowledge of tactical play. Whether West Coast can match this to-morrow remains to be seen. It is expected that the visiting forwards will play a rugged game and match the opposing pack in this respect. In the visiting team are two lots of three brothers, the Mountfords and the Forrests. C. Mountford, the captain, showed that he was a player of class on his last appearance here. Two changes have been made in the Auckland team, which played Wellington. P. Ririnui, the burly forward, who was disciplined for not attending practice, is back in the pack, while R. Clarke will replace R. Speedy. This change has been necessitated because Speedy broke a blood vessel in his knee in the Wellington game. The teams are:— Auckland.—Pull-back, w. s. Clarke; threeQuarters, H. Nordgren, A Wiles B Lowther ttve-cighths, J. Murray. R. Clarke; huH-back, c! Major; forwards, D. Ryan, J. Rutherford, D. McLeod. A. Thompson. P. Ririnui. T. Hardwick. Reserves: Backs. R. Nurse, M. Robert-son; forwards, B. Graham, N. Johnson.

West Coast.—Full-back, J. Soster: three-quarters J. Forrest, W. Mountford. A. stenhouse; flveeignths, C. Mountford. J. McNaughton; half-back, M. Ord, forwards. R. Aynsley. W. Glynn, J. Newton, M. Mountford, K. Mcßrldc, L Forrest
