CITATION TO D.F.C. AWARD
"OUTSTANDING NAVIGATOR" P.A. WELLINGTON, this day. The citation to the recent award of. the Distinguished Flying Cross to Flying-Officer Harold Edward Brumby, states that he has proved himself to be a navigator of outstanding ability.
"Since December, 1944, by his fine technical skill, he has shared in the destruction of at least four enemy aircraft in air combat. On one occasion in March, 1945, he was instrumental in destroying a Messerschmitt 110 and the probable destruction of a Heinkel 111, despite technical difficulties."
Flying-Officer Brumby is a son of Mrs. E. A. Brumby, of 40, Oxton Road, Mount Albert.
