BRITISH LABOUR'S SUCCESS
CELEBRATION IN AUCKLAND The success of the Labour party in the British elections will be celebrated by the Auckland trad* union movement at a meeting in the Domain next Sunday afternoon.
Decision to hold the devonstration was made at a joint meeting of the executive of the Labour Representation Committee and the Auckland Trades Council as the result of numerous requests from the workers, said Mr. W. Ashton, secretary of the Trades Council, this morning. The City Council had granted the necessary permission, he added, and the Transport Board would be approached to arrange extra transport. Several bands would participate.
