CHALLENGE TO DEBATE CHALLENGE TO DEBATE TO MR. W. T. ANDERTON, M.P. FOR EDEN MR. W. T. ANDERTON, M.P. FOR EDEN In the New Zealand Herald of July 19, you are reported t as-having made the following statement in the House . of Representatives, in replying to Mr. W. A. Sheat, M.P. for Patea, while-the question of motor tyre manufacture in New Zealand was undei discussion. "I suppose the Member for Patea wants to encourage his friends, the Bureau of Importers, the most stupid organisation m * New Zealand, whose statements nine times out of ten are uneconomic and unsound." The Bureau of Importers, Inc., hereby challenges you to publicly debate with a member of the Bureau under an Independent" Chairman, at a place_ and date to be • agreed upon, in your own electorate if you so desire, the last ten statements on economic matters issued by the Bureau of Importers; or alternatively, the Government's proposal to manufacture motor tyres in New i Zealand, which subject, whilst under discussion in the House, drew forth your tirade. All expenses will be 1 defrayed by the Bureau. * This challenge is open for acceptance within 14 days. For the Bureau of Importers, Inc. x (Signed) A. M. DOULL, Secretary.
