CRASH INTO BRIDGE
TWO MEN INJURED O.C. WHANGAREI, this day. Endeavouring to avoid another car while travelling south between Whakapara and Hikurangi this morning, a car crashed into a concrete bridge, the two occupants receiving injuries necessitating their admission to the Whangarei Hospital. They were: Mr. Charles v Schon, aged 45, married, commission agent, of Oranga Road, Whangarei, who was driving, and Mr. Ernest Hartridge, aged 46, manager of the Commercial Hotel, Whangarei. Mr. Schon has a fractured left ankle and facial abrasions, while Mr. Hartridge is suffering from lacerations to the face. The condition of both men is satisfactory.
