A PACER SOLD
BAYARD FOR AUSTRALIA The former Auckland pacer, Bayard, a big stake-winner in New Zealand, has been sold to a South Australian sportsman. Among Bayard's many achievements was his third to Haughty and Loyal Rey in the New Zealand Trotting Cup In 1942'. In that race Bayard paced the two miles in 4.13 2-5. Although only a pony, he is a particularly well bred horse, being by the American horse Frank Worthy from Bonny Logan, the dam of Gailliard, Coquette, Safety Pin, Captain Morant and Bonny Bridge.
