ACCESSION OF NEW WORKERS Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, July 26. The leader of the Liberal party, Sir Archibald Sinclair, Secretary for Air in the Coalition Government, who was defeated by the Conservative candidate, Mr. E. L. Dower, after holding the Caithness and Sutherland seat for 23 years, said the Liberal party had done badly. He added, however, that the Liberals polled over 2,000,000 votes, and in every constituency where a Liberal candidate fought it was reported that there had been a tremendous accession of new workers, who promised to provide a firm base for future operations.
