IN WINNING FORM
ENGAGED TOMORROW Gulf Stream is on the verge of repeating the winning form that gave him the Winter Cup at Riccarton just over a year ago. He has not been seen in a winning light since, but- was a shade unlucky not to beat Royal Heir in the Stewards' Handicap at Trentham, his only start at the Wellington Racing Club's winter meeting. , At the winning post Gulf Stream was galloping a shade better than Royal Heir, which had his nose 111 front. Gulf Stream is engaged in the Claremont Handicap at Washdyko to-morrow, and In the Winter Cup on the following Saturday. Mr. G. A. Lang's four-year-old Tiderace gelding, a half-brother to Beaupartir and Lambourn, winner of the We - lington Cup this season, will be a formidable rival in the races chosen for him.
