LATE MR. P. BUTLER

Reference to the recent death of Mr. Percy Butler, for many years secretary of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board, was made at a meeting of the board by the chairman, Mr. P. Butler, yesterday. The board regretted, said Mr. Brigham, that Mr. Butler had not enjoyed a longer retirement. It was decided to send a letter to the late Mr. Butler's relatives expressing sympathy and appreciation of the services rendered by him while secretary of the board.
