I EASTERN SUBURBS PROTEST A protest against the action of the Control Board in re-arranging the senior B competition without consulting clubs was received from Eastern Suburbs Club at last night's meeting of the Auckland Football Association Control Board. It demanded that the senior competition be suspended until notice was given to clubs, and complained of the acceptance of an entry from R.N.Z.A.F. (Swanson), an unknown team. The chairman, Mr. D. A. Williams, said only one delegate had voted against the re-arrangement, which i had been well discussed. It was decided I that no action be taken.

It was reported that a match for the Munro Cup would be played next Wednesday between R.N.Z.A.F. (Whenuapai), the holder, and Papakura Camp.

The South Auckland Association wrote suggesting August 4 as the date for the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield return match between Auckland and South Auckland. The North Shore club recommended that the Auckland team be chosen from senior B teams so that the senior A competition could proceed without interruption. The board decided that an effort be made to play the match at a later date.

Mr. C. Ward, chairman of the junior management committee, reported that next week teams representing third intermediate, fourth grade and primary schools would be visiting Hamilton, New Plymouth, Wellington and Hutt Valley.

The Auckland third grade Soccer team to contest the Flyger Rose Bowl at Hamilton on August 4 is: Zuill (Onehunga), Shoebridge (Suburbs), Ludgate, Collins (Y.M.C.A.), Haydon (Onehunga), Mann (Thistle), Parker (Shore), Norgrove (Thistle), Le Grice, Young (Shore), Darcy (Suburbs).
