SECOND N.Z.E.F. ASSOCIATION Arising out of a difference of opinion regarding the selection of representatives to introduce Auckland remits at the Dominion conference of the Second N.Z.E.F. Association, a vdte of no-confidencs in the chairman, Mr. K. Cohen, was carried by 10 votes to 8 at a meeting last night of the Auckland branch, about 20 members refraining from voting. The chairman resigned and Mr. B. Kingston was elected to the vacancy.
The question arose when the chairman explained that he would be unable to attend the conference and had asked two members of the Dominion executive to sponsor the Auckland remits. Exception to his action was taken by Mr. C. Keeling, who moved the vote of no-confidence. Though urged to withdraw the motion after members had spoken of the good work done by Mr. Cohen, he refused to do so. The Dominion president, Mr. E. L. Thwaites, presided during the taking of the motion. v -
