TOURNEY NEXT NOVEMBER Arrangements are well in hand for the Diggers' annual bowling tournament, which will be held on Saturday, November 24. Entries will close approximately a fortnight before that date, but official notice will be forwarded to each club in the Auckland Centre district. Reservations are being made for all teams entered in the last tourney, which was cancelled on account of wet weather, but skips are asked to confirm this arrangement with W. S. Raffles, 280, Church Street, Onehunga, 5.E.5. The Onehunga and District R.S.A. Bowling Club is having a certain amount of success in the weekly competitions in connection with the Jordan Pins. Since defeating the Mangere holders three weeks ago they have withstood challenges from Hillsboro and Auckland Transport. Their next opponents will be from the Onehunga club. The R.S.A. team is Harold Baildon, Charlie O'Hara, Jock Walker and Bill Raffles.
