"There should be no excuse from householders that they cannot get their chimneys cleaned, said the chairman of the Auckland Metropolitan Fire Board, Mr. B. Brigham, when the superintendent, Mr. W. L. Wilson, reportede at a meeting of the board this morning that the fire brigade has responded to 23 chimney fires during June. „ + Mr. H. Duncan said one enterprising chimney sweep, on receiving a commission, notified all other householders in the street that he was paying a visit to the locality. , The chairman said the board had had all its chimneys swept, and he though that all householders should , do the same.
