ARBOR DAY PLANS
A ceremony in Grey Lynn Park next Wednesday week will mark Auckland's observance of Arbor Day, 1945, said the chairman of the City Council's park committee, Mr. J. L. Coakley, this morning. Pupils from the Grey Lynn, Newton West and Westmere Schools and St. Joseph's Convent will attend the ceremony, while junior and senior representatives from each of the schools in the metropolitan area" have been invited to plant trees. Trees will be made available for planting in the various schoolgrounds on application to the superintendent of parks.
