Public notice is hereby given that the North Auckland Electric Power Board, at a meeting held on the Twelfth clay of July. 1945. passed the following resolution:— 1 "That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Government Lccjis Beard Act 1926. the Lccal Bodies Loans Act 1926. Section 15 oi the Finance Act (No. 2) 1936. and Section 15 of the Statutes Amendment Act 1938. and Amendments a:-.d Regulations made thereunder respectively, the North Auckland Electric 1 Power Hoard hereby resolves by . way of Special Order as follows: — "That l?r the purpose oi supplying and dis- ' tributing clectric energy for the benefit of i the constituent districts of HoUscn County, [ Whangarei County. Otamatea County, i Dargaville Borough and Hikurangi Town I within the North Auckland Electric Power | District, and for such purpose to do all or i any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the I Electric Pcwer Boards Act 1925. and Ls > Amendments. and in particular. but, j without limiting in any way any of the aforesaid powers, to provide, erect and | construct, additions and extensions to the j present system of electrical distribution and reticulation, to purchase plant, land. ; easements, general equipment, and any existing electrical installations and plant, to erect buildings, and to make provision I for financial assistance to consumers and ! for trading purposes as provided by the I said Act, the North Auckland Electric 1 Pcwer Board hereby authorises the raising j of a loan of Twenty thousand pounds ( £ 20.000) for a term of twenty (20) i years at an interest rate of three and one half (3 1 2) per centum per annum. '•That the proposed security for the payment cf interest, repayment of principal and the payment of other charges on the said loan is a special rate of five fortv-eighths (5-48ths) of one penny in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the aforesaid constituent districts.
