ICE ON RIVER
O.C. WANGANUI, this day. Ice formed on the Wanganui River yesterday after the most severe frost recorded in the city for many years. One old resident declared he had never seen a similar occurrence in 30 years. - On both sides of the river. at the Dublin Street bridge the extended for about two feet on the mud flats.
The City Council's meteorological station recorded 7 degrees of frost.
